Secrets of Evangelion in Manga vol. 5 wrote:Fuyutsuki commented that the Angel Sahaquiel [Stage 30] -- The Tenth Angel -- was actually "[number] Seven..." to which Gendo replied, "Yes. And five remains." According to this different classification, then, the Third Angel would be Shamshel [Stages 9-10], the Fourth, Ramiel [Stages 15-19], the Fifth, Gaghiel [Stage 20] and the Sixth, Israfel [Stages 22-26]. Note that the Angels Sandalphon and Matarael -- the Eight and Ninth respectively -- have not appeared in this version of events, as they did in the anime where they followed Israfel and preceded Sahaquiel.
These are the Angel's that appears in the manga:
1st Angel - Adam
2nd Angel - Sachiel
3rd Angel - Shamshel
4th Angel - Ramiel
5th Angel - Gaghiel
6th Angel - Israfel
7th Angel - Sahaquiel
8th Angel - Bardiel
9th Angel - Zeruel
10th Angel - Arael
11th Angel - Armisael
12th Angel - Tabris / Kaworu
Compare this to the Angel's in the anime (Angels in italic text doesn't appear in the manga):
1st Angel - Adam
2nd Angel - Lilith
3rd Angel - Sachiel
4th Angel - Shamshel
5th Angel - Ramiel
6th Angel - Gaghiel
7th Angel - Israfel
8th Angel - Sandalphon
9th Angel - Matarael
10th Angel - Sahaquiel
11th Angel - Iruel
12th Angel - Leliel
13th Angel - Bardiel
14th Angel - Zeruel
15th Angel - Arael
16th Angel - Armisael
17th Angel - Tabris / Kaworu
And yes, I DO have scans to back this up. I'm afraid you have been PWND, sir.
Edit: Well, screw the scans. I'm unable to scan the "Secrets of Evangelion" part since my bloody copy of Windows 98 won't co-operate. However, I've... "obtained" the page where Gendo and Fuyutsuki are havning a chat in antarctica. Too bad it's from the "ordinary" edition of the manga with left -> right reading, but it doesn't really matter.
