Fuyutsuki commented that the Angel Sahaquiel [Stage 30] -- The Tenth Angel -- was actually "[number] Seven..." to which Gendo replied, "Yes. And five remains." According to this different classification, then, the Third Angel would be Shamshel [Stages 9-10], the Fourth, Ramiel [Stages 15-19], the Fifth, Gaghiel [Stage 20] and the Sixth, Israfel [Stages 22-26]. Note that the Angels Sandalphon and Matarael -- the Eight and Ninth respectively -- have not appeared in this version of events, as they did in the anime where they followed Israfel and preceded Sahaquiel.

Edit: Well, screw the scans. I'm unable to scan the "Secrets of Evangelion" part since my bloody copy of Windows 98 won't co-operate. However, I've... "obtained" the page where Gendo and Fuyutsuki are havning a chat in antarctica. Too bad it's from the "ordinary" edition of the manga with left -> right reading, but it doesn't really matter.

... You didn't bother to read my entire post, did you? In that case, read again. Or if you havn't figured it out already: The thing on the cross is Adam, not Lilith. It's been told countless of times that the manga != the anime.

The page where Gendo and Fuyutsuki are talking in Antarctica is "straight from the manga" as well, and it clearly says that there are 12 angels in total.

Mr. Bud, If you have any absolute proof that the Angel on the red cross in Terminal Dogma is Lilith and not Adam, then please inform me of it. Until then, please re-read my above post regarding this issue.

Yes, well... You look more correct then I. If so, this is beyond retarded. Why the hell would they re-enlarge Adam? I thought the point of the mask was to make the Angels believe that the thing in Terminal Dogma was Adam and not Lilith...

Well, Sadamoto could be doing one of two things:

(1) Simply excluding Lilith from the 'Angels' listing (since it never made much sense to put her there in the first place).

(2) Embryo Adam = Giant on Cross. The deception in the anime made reality. It's actually plausible that this was the original intention in the anime, but the concept of Lilith was introduced somewhere along the way, along with a battery of new plot holes.

Strangely, some stuff, like Adam being "the first human" and the Angels being "alternate takes on humanity" make more sense if you take Lilith out of the picture...

Yeah, I think Sadamoto is excluding Lillith from the Angel list. After all, Lillith and Adam are both completely different sources of life.
