Day 2 of Tokyo’s Wonder Festival 2010 brings some pictures of the Kotobukiya Booth‘s Evangelion related items. They had the Asuka, Rei, and Mari “Rebuild” statues that were also seen at the Kotobukiya booth at Wonder Festival last year along with a new Asuka statue of her in the “Test” plugsuit. However, probably the most interesting item is a set of Entry Plug Chopsticks that open up on the end to expose a tiny pilot inside. There are Asuka, Shinji, Rei, and Mari versions of these chopsticks. The expected release for these chopsticks are December and will sell for around 1260円.

The 2010 Wonder Festival, an annual event to showcase and sell garage kit models among other things, started in Tokyo today. As to be expected, there were many Evangelion related items, including a rhinestone covered Evangelion Unit-01 head (pictured to the right). Another neat looking item is an Evangelion Unit-01 based on the design from ANIMA:
There’s also Asuka, Rei, and Mari figures, which is to be expected:

That's kind of cool
These places have lots of pictures, some nice Summer War figures, and mecha:

The “Life-Sized Evangelion” attraction at the Fuji-Q High Land amusement park in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi prefecture, Japan, near mount Fuji, has been completed. The entire attraction covers a 1460 square meter area and costs 150 million yen to make, which includes life-sized Seele monoliths, a life-sized entry plug that you can get in, some life-sized statues of some characters, and of course, a life-sized Evangelion Unit-01. The Eva is only a bust, about 9m high and 16m across, but it does open its mouth and breathe out some smoke. Oh, and there’s also some cosplay going on as well as the Augmented Reality. Currently, only the media has access to this Evangelion Pavilion. It will be opened to the public on Friday, July 23rd and the grand opening will be streamed live on Fuji-Q’s Ustream channel, scheduled at 7:30pm EST on July 22nd.
You can watch the completion movie at the fujiq.jp website. The previous movies during the construction:

The Great Hotel Hakone, part of Prince Hotels and Resorts, located in the Hakone region of Japan, will start serving a set of lunches (between 11:30am to 1:00pm) with an Evangelion theme for 1,000 円.
There’s the “Lilith Pescatori” (pictured to the right), an “Adam Beef Curry”, and a “Garlic Char-Siu Ramen” (no idea how that’s Evangelion related, maybe the eggs are A-10 headsets?). There will be a limit of 15 dishes per day. Aside from fancy lunches, the hotel has a golf course, tennis courts, hot springs, and all the other stuff you’d expect a nice hotel would have.

It seems even though the locals in Hakone protest, the tourism industry is still willing to tap into the lucrative marketshare of Evangelion fans. Who can blame them? They also sell Rei Ayanami and Asuka straps for 840円 at the hotel’s gift shop.
